Import the mileage data of Table 4.2 on Page 111:

Instructions for importing data into JMP

Proceed as in the Histogram JMP tutorial.

Select Normal Quantile Plot from the red pop-up menu over the histogram:

You should get the normal quantile plot below:

One can get a horizontal layout for this plot as follows:

With the plot below it is easier to see if the distribution is skewed.
