To obtain the ANOVA table on Page 61 of Montgomery make
sure that the column "Cotton Percentage" is declared nominal:

Go to the Analyze menu and select Fit Y by X:

Assign columns as follows:
We get the following output graph:

Select Means, Anova/t-Test from the Analysis
triangle menu:

To obtain the desired ANOVA table as well as some other
results of interest:
We can also obtain the ANOVA table by selecting
the Fit Model platform from the Analyze menu:

And making the following column assignments:

This second method of obtaining the ANOVA table is best reserved for the more complicated examples presented later in the book.
