Fitting the proportional hazards model using SAS JMP.

We preview where we are going with the proportional hazards model by using JMP to fit the data of Watson and Smith (1985) on the failure stresses of single carbon fibers of different lengths given on Table 4.1, Page 81 of your textbook. The proportional hazards model we fit is:

The following screens shots show the steps that one goes through in JMP to fit this proportional hazards model to the data.

The interpretation of this JMP output will be discussed in class.
