Committee of
the Inter-American Statistical Institute (IASI), to appoint you,
for the
three year term starting on August 1, 2001, as a "Representative
of IASI in
the United States".
We look forward to take advantage of your important cooperation
in several
areas, such as: (a) the dissemination of the objectives and activities
of
the Institute, (b) the entrance of new individual and institutional
(Affiliated) members, (c) the promotion of the submission of papers
to our
journal "ESTADISTICA" and of news for our Newsletter,
(d) the
identification of specialists to invite to our events, (e) the
organization
of seminars, workshops or other academic, professional and technical
activities, based on USA's institutions, and (f) any other matter
aimed at
strenghtening and enlarging our program of activities.
