One can get the MLEs of the Weibull and the Gumbel parameters by doing a Weibull plot and selecting "Estimate Weibull Parameters" from the triangle menu:


To use JMP's Nonlinear Fit platform to calculate the MLEs use the JMP calculator to create a new column called "loss":
