Create a JMP data table as follows. Notice that 68 + 32 = 100 = sample size.

Go to the Analyze menu and select Distribution:

Fill the resulting dialog box as follows:

Click OK. Select .95 Confidence Interval:

This results in the following output:

Although JMP and the book use different methods for calculating
the confidence intervals, the two confidence interval are close.
We now do Example 8.2.
Select Test Probabilities from the pull down triangle menu:

Fill in the resulting dialog box as follows:

Click Done:
Scroll down to the following output:

Notice that the Pearson p-value above of 0.1060 is close to
the p-value in Example 8.2 of 0.1052.
The book uses the z statistic. JMP uses the square of the z statistics,
called the Chi Square Statistic.
The two method are very similar.
