One can do Example 7.7 and 7.8 by using the methods in the following two tutorials with the Gain column:
In this tutorial, we will instead use JMP's Matched Pairs
platform.
Go to the Analyze menu and select Matched Pairs:
Fill the resulting dialog box as follows:
Click OK:
Notice that you do not have the choice in this platform to
change the Confidence Level from 95% to 90% as is required in
Example 7.8.
To get a 90% confidence interval, we must use the methods in the
following tutorial with the Gain column:
Proceed as in that tutorial to get:
Click OK and Select .90 Confidence Interval as follows:
Scroll down to the following output:
