Icebreaker and Introductions

President:

Dr. Dave Dupper, a professor in the Master's program in Social Work, wants interested students to contact him about speaking at one of his classes next semester. His email address is ddupper@utk.edu.

Pride Alliance will meet Tuesday night, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. in Room 150 of the Library. We strongly encourage you to attend and show your support.

Gender Defiant is presenting a full screening of the movie, Southern Comfort at 7 p.m., in the Law School Room 135. There will be a short discussion following the film.

Political Coordinator:

The executive board passed the political policy unanimously today.Lambda will vote on the policy next Monday. A copy of the policy will be emailed out over the list serve. You must have been to the required amount of meetings and have paid your dues in order to vote.

Social Coordinator:

We will be presenting the Flames of Knoxville Drag Show and raffle next Wednesday, December 5th. The admission is $2, plus however much you will be tipping the performers. We will also be selling raffle tickets for an extra $1. Let James know if you have any connections for donations of raffle prizes.

World AIDS Day:

World AIDS Day campus observance is this Friday, Nov. 30. If you have not signed up to volunteer for any of the activities, we encourage you to do so.

The signs have arrived for the pedestrian walkway and we will be putting them together, Thursday night at 8 p.m. We will put them together at Ben Byers' house, so please contact us if you need directions or arrangements for transportation.

We will begin our events Friday morning at 7:00 a.m. to paint the rock. We will provide breakfast then put up our banners and prepare to table from 10-3.

Sabrina Sojourner:

The WCC contacted us and is willing to help with publicity. They will be getting the event posted on the CPC Spring Calendar. We will be having a meeting Tuesday November 27, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. at the Starbucks in the Library.

Rockin' Womyn's Music Festival:

The chili dog sale is canceled for Wednesday and will be rescheduled at a later date. There will be a meeting Wednesday November 28, 2007 at 9:00 p.m. at the Starbucks on the Strip. If anyone is interested in giving monetary donations to the festival please contact Amy Davidson on the Lambda account.

Next Meeting

The next general meeting will be held in UC Room 224 on Dec 3rd. We will vote on the Lambda Political Policy, so be sure to be present.
