The theory underlying PCR, DNA
automated sequencing and gel electrophoresis is presented
in diagrams, followed by photographs of actual lab
procedures. It is hoped that these presentations will
help students understand some of the molecular techniques
that are fundamental to modern biology, from genetics and
cell biology to environmental and evolutionary studies. These presentations were developed as part of an Instructional Technology Development Fellowship from the University of Tennessee, Innovative Technology Center.
