Google News

This is the google news site that you get if you click on news in the search engine. The page itself has a pretty basic set up- every story has a headline, a byline for the newspaper it was gathered from, a brief synopsis, and a graphic of some kind. Although, The part of this site I thought was neat, is the News Alert feature under the menu. It allows you to sign up for news alerts, but the great part is that you get to assign words or topics that you want to be alerted about. You can even choose how often you want to receive them- once a day, once a week, or as it happens. This is a great idea because it lets you pick and choose the news that interests you and you don't have to sort through all the other news that most sites with a news alert feature send you.
