“The Dream Come True” Capital Campaign

Alpha Epsilon Chapter

of Kappa Delta

The Alpha Epsilon chapter (AE) has been presented with a “dream come true” opportunity to build 42 beds, state-of-the-art facility in the Sorority Village on the UTK campus.  This 16,000 square foot house will be located at Morgan Hill. (Neyland Drive at Kingston Pike) Our estimated completion date is 2010.  This $4.2 million project will help provide the following benefits to the Alpha Epsilon chapter of Kappa Delta:

• provide an opportunity for the chapter members to experience a greater sense of sorority living
• create a true “home” environment for the chapter members while at the University of Tennessee
• build life skills of responsibility for the care and feeding of the sorority house
• engage in the day to day experience of sisterhood
• provide an economical environment for the sisters to live and work while on campus
• establish a welcoming environment for alumnae when they return to campus
• take part in a Panhellenic community where Kappa Delta can interact with other sororities
• beginning building new memories for the future Kappa Deltas
• continue to be leaders on campus
• build on past history to carry the chapter into the 21^st century

Now we need your help! In order to make our dream of providing a state-of-the-art facility for the future of the chapter a reality, we must have the support of those sharing our dream.  A capital campaign for $1 million is currently underway and will be used for the planning, construction and ultimately the furnishing of the KD House.

Each area will have a plaque with a commemoration, with your honoree, or your name placed near the area you have supported.  In addition, there will a plaque in the foyer listing each of you as members of the Phi Alpha Society.

Phi Alpha was the name of our local group before we became Kappa Delta.  The Phi Alpha Society recognizes your dedication to the AE chapter.
