Manager, Visual Design Development—Innovative Technology Center, University of Tennessee
Design and implement interface designs, interaction design, and information architecture • Plan, write, and teach graphic design principles and current graphic design software to professors and GTAs • Plan and produce print and Web communications to advertise Educational Technologies’ services • Co-teach and co-write courses with designers, video and audio editors, educational technology specialists, and programmers • Lead ITC Development Team through intake of faculty requests • Lead a team of designers and media producers through all phases of project development • Manage development teams, projects, and client contacts • Estimate interactive media projects • Plan semesterly curriculum direction • Collaborate on grant proposals

Participated in the start-up and design of a new advertising-driven book publishing division for Whittle Communications • Launched two book series: The Larger Agenda Series, distributed to leading national Fortune 500 business executives and Grand Rounds Press, for doctors and health care administrators • Supervised design staff through day to day production.

Associate Art Director—Campus Voice
Reformatted and designed Campus Voice from a bimonthly magazine to a large three poster editorial biweekly.

1987-88
Assistant Art Director—Funnnies (yes with three n’s)
Participated in the launch and design of a monthly humor publication combining cartoons, celebrity interviews and jokes into a large format entertainment poster • Assembled a stable of national contributing cartoonists.
