About

According to their site, "Teen Voices is about teen women being themselves. There are enough magazines out there that tell you how to look, how to act to impress a guy, or to buy certain products."

This site is the online version of Teen Voices magazine. All the content -- writing, poetry, and artwork -- is produced by young women. The editors, who are also teens, invite submissions on any subject. For more information, visit the Teen Voices Online home page or read the FAQ.

Submission guidelines

The editors at Teen Voices are interested in just about anything young women have to say about the world. Browse the editors' extensive list of regular features to get a feel for the kinds of themes that appear in the magazine.

There is no limit on the number of submissions you make, but because of the high volume of submissions received, they cannot publish everything. The editors will notify you if they select your submission.

Your submission is subject to editing and becomes property of Teen Voices, which retains non-exclusive rights.

If you are submitting to Teen Voices for the first time, you should read the complete submission guidelines. Here are some important reminders:

  • Include your name, age, email address, home address, and phone number on every submission. (Remember, this is personally identifiable information and you should ask an adult's permission first! Read the safety tips.)
  • Attach your author bio.
  • Keep a back-up copy. (Teen Voices cannot return your writing.)

Publish me now!

There are two ways to submit letters to Teen Voices Online:

  • Use the electronic form. Make sure you have access to your writing files on the computer at which you are working. You will have to browse the computer directory to locate your file and attach it to the form (similar to making an email attachment). Also, you will need to copy and paste your author bio into the box on the form. You can compose your bio directly into the form, if it is short, but it is wiser to keep a copy of your bio stored locally so you can reuse it for other submissions.
  • Print out and complete the electronic form and mail it with your work to:
