This site is the product of ongoing study by students and faculty of Chattanooga State's Biology Department.  Initially conceived by Dr. Richard Clements and Mrs. Carolyn Dodson as an Honors Biology Course for sophomore student, John Evans, the project is intended to be continued by future biology students who have interests related to such work.  The objective is to identify and record the species that inhabit the wetlands on Chattanooga State's campus.  Because of the large number of organisms present, and because of the transient nature of wetland habitats, it is unlikely that this project will be considered "completed" for some time.  With this in mind, please consider this a "work-in-progress" and by no means an exhaustive account of the diversity to be found in this community of life.

Future work may be expanded to include such efforts as actual population counts for individual species, measurements of pollution levels within the system, and general assessments of the  overall health of the system.

Below is a running list of students and faculty involved with this project thus far.
