 I am Joella Darby from Mason, TN. Born on September 15, 1976 I am the fourth child of ten. I am a graduate of Covington High School and a 1998 and 2001 graduate of the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Human Ecology and a M.S. in Social Work.
During the Spring of 1997, I rededicated my life to Jesus at a Monday Night CBC meeting. I was in the 2nd semester of my junior year and the Lord was pursuing my heart. He just did not want to be Savior, he wanted to be Lord.
I was one of the church babies who experienced much too much freedom in college and did not have the accountability needed to grow spiritually. I did a lot of crazy stuff, but the Lord Jesus was gracious enough to prick my heart and incite me to turn around and say yes to his love.
As I said yes to Jesus, it did not make my life easier, but it sure felt good to be close to the only one who really loves and cares for me. That same feeling I had that Monday Night in April of 1997 is the same feeling I get when I receive God's love for me. His love is new and fresh every morning, and He always reminds me of John 3:16. He loved me so much that He was willing to die for me, and He doesn't want me to live without that knowledge. That's Love!!
