Engineering Services designs, installs, and maintains state-of-the-art classroom technology for use by the faculty, staff and students located at UT campuses across the state. Classroom system designs are evaluated based on need or request and a solution is implemented. This is accomplished at a campus level as well as through consulting with individual departments for stand-alone solutions.

Knoxville classroom technology is implemented or upgraded through direction and funding provided by the CITIS committee.

Support for classroom technology includes but is not limited to the following:

• AMX Control System programming
• LCD projector installation and maintenance
• Sympodium (SMART technology) installation and support
• A/V system design, installation, configuration and on-going maintenance
• Rapid response to classroom trouble calls (10 minute)
