Find the Funds Center for a Fund
(10/2009)

Several IRIS processes, such as workflow and security, are governed by the funds center.  A funds center is the “U” number to which a fund (cost center or WBS element) is associated.

Another handy use for the funds center is in running reports of all funds in your area.  Many financial reports provide the ability to specify a funds center, so you can specify the funds center instead of having to enter all of the funds separately into your selection criteria.

If you do not know the funds center that is associated with a particular fund, you can use IRIS transaction ZFM3 – Display Attributes to find it.  ZFM3 is available at the following menu path:  Accounting >> Public Sector Management >> Funds Management >> Master Data >> Account Assignment Elements >> Fund >> Additional Fund Attributes >> Display Attributes.  Just enter the fund number on the ZFM3 selection screen and press Enter.

For detailed instructions, see the document “ZFM3 – Find the Funds Center for a Fund”.
