Asian American Culture Night
The International House would like to inform you that Asian-American Culture Night will be taking place on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 6:30-8:30 pm. The evening will be featuring presentations on various aspects of Asian-American culture through interactive skits, and question and answer session, and of course an amazing asian-inspired meal.
As usual, the cost is $3 and tickets will be sold at the door. This will be the LAST culture night of the semester. Don't miss out!

Spring 2008 Culture Nights
Culture Nights are events presented by members of different International associations or clubs from UT and organized together with the International House. Their purpose is to show some aspects of each culture or country, showcasing dances, music, traditional meals and graphic presentations. It is a great chance to briefly visit another culture without paying the airfare! Culture Nights are usually held on Wednesdays nights about six times a semester.See pictures of past Culture Nights.

African American Culture Night
The International House will be having an African-American Culture Night THIS WEDNESDAY from 6:30-8:30 in the I-House Great Room. The cost is $3 to attendand tickets will be sold at the door around 6:00 pm. This program will befeaturing a presentation on African-American History, a performance by theLove United Gospel Choir Praise Dance Team, a monologue, and a full meal.
During the month of February, the US celebrates Black History Month. Attending this culture night would be a great opportunity for students tolearn more about a culture that is readily incorporated into our everydaylives. Often times, people don't take the time to find out information oncultures that are closely intertwined for two reasons. The first reason isbecause that culture is in such close proximity, that we already feel like weknow the culture. The second is often due to the fact that the media tends toshape what we think about that culture. Unfortunately, the media doesn'tadequatelyillustrate.
Please take advantage of this fun opportunity to learn more aboutAfrican-Americans in an inviting atmosphere during this Black History Month!There is always more that you learn about a culture. Again, I would like toencourage you to come join the I-House for African-American Culture Night THIS Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 pm.

Carribean Culture Night
The International House will present Caribbean Culture Night with Caribbean Students Association on Wednesday, November 7 at International House Great Room From 6:30-8:30pm. Come to enjoy Cultural Presentation and Authentic Caribbean Food.

Japanese Culture Night
The International House will presents Japanese Culture Night with Japanese Students Association on Wednesday, October 17 at International House Great Room From 6:30-8:30pm. Come to learn about Japanese Songs, experience Aikido demonstration (one of martial arts), and Japanese traditional games, meanwhile, enjoy the Sushi and Udon (noodle).

The International House will presents Chinese Culture Night with Chinese Students and Scholars Association on Wednesday, October 3 at International House Great Room From 6:30-8:30pm. Come to learn about Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Etiquette, and experience the fashion show. Also, enjoy the delicious Chinese food.

Saudi Arabian Culture Night
On March 28th, the International House along with the Saudi Arabian students will be presenting the Saudi Arabian Culture Night. This is going to be a special event since it is the first time Saudi students have done a culture night and it is also the last cultural night of the semester.
So come and witness the beauty of Saudi Arabia through their food, music, and dance. There will also be an exhibit of different artifacts.

Persian Culture Night
March 21st is the Persian New Year! To celebrate, the I-House, along with the UT Persian Club, is organizing a Persian Culture Night. There will be music, dance, and delicious ethnic food, and for just $3 you can experience the Persian New Year at UT.
This is a special event as we haven't had a Persian Culture Night in several years. This is a great opportunity to learn about the Persian culture and try some new foods.
