International Literary Colloquy, Now Accepting Participants
UT International Literary Colloquy, Spring 2009
Three books focusing on an Eastern European Culture!
This is your Invitation to Join!
In support of UT'S READY FOR THE WORLD International and Intercultural Awareness Initiative, the Center for International Education seeks participants in its spring 2009 International Literary Colloquy. Over its twelve years, the ILC has engaged hundreds of UT students, faculty, and staff in exploring cultural themes in books written by or about various world societies.
Sixty ILC spaces will be available this spring semester and the UT community is invited to apply. Each participant will be provided with copies of the three books and is expected to participate in all three book discussions and thematic luncheons. This semester's three books are set in an Eastern European Culture. Experts on the included themes will facilitate the discussions which take place during three Wednesdays or two Thursdays and one Friday from 11:30 to 1:00 pm at the International House.
Apply now!
If you wish to be considered for participation in the Spring 2009 ILC, either pick up an application form at the front desk of the UT International House or download the application from the International House website. Once the application is completed it can be turned in at the I-House front desk.
Applications must be received by January 22, 2009! Applicants are expected to commit to participation in all three Wednesday or two Thursday and one Friday luncheon discussions. Participants will hear about their acceptance to the ILC soon after January 22, 2009. Please see attached flyer!
