Conversations about World Affairs
Students, Faculty, and Staff,
We are excited to announce our first Conversations about World Affairs for the spring semester 2008! Tomorrow night, January 29th at 7pm please join us at the International House as we welcome Mr.Michell Hicks, Principal Chief of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians. Mr.Hicks has been the Principal Chief since 2003.
The topic for tomorrow night's presentation will be governance of Native American populations. Mr.Hicks will be talking about the modern day business of running a tribe. Also a Certified Public Accountant, Mr.Hicks will help to educate us about the Eastern Band of the Cherokee.
We look forward to seeing you here! A reception with light refreshments will follow the talk.
