TEAM HISTORY
Greetings from Tennessee Ice Hockey! Allow me to introduce you to the fastest sport played at the University of Tennessee. The Tennessee Ice Vols are entering their 41st season of intercollegiate play in 2007-08. The Ice Vols are members of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) a group of over 350 collegiate hockey programs from across the nation. We play against other Southeastern Conference rivals such as Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, and Florida in addition to major universities across the nation like Florida State, Arizona, Texas, Penn State, and Oklahoma.
Last season, Tennessee claimed its second consecutive conference title, and the inaugural ACHA South Regional Championship. We had six players named to the ACHA All-Regional team and one ACHA All-America selection. Most importantly, UT led the nation with seven players named to the ACHA’s 2007 Academic All-America Team. In February, we were awarded a #1-seed at the ACHA National Championship Tournament, which was held in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Despite our success, as a non-varsity sport the Tennessee Hockey program does not receive ANY funding from the UT Athletic Department. All of our funding comes from player dues, merchandise sales, ticket revenue, and most importantly—sponsorships! The growing exposure our team is enjoying can provide new and exciting opportunities for your company.

Since we are a
non-varsity sport, the Tennessee Hockey team is not bound by NCAA rules
regarding corporate logos on jerseys. Therefore, we are able to place
your company’s logo in a predetermined location on our jerseys (either
the front shoulders, or below the number on the back). This is one of
the most beneficial sponsorships we provide, based on the attention and
visual exposure for your business not only here in Knoxville, but on all
of our road trips to Nashville, Atlanta, Lexington, the Carolinas,
Florida, and elsewhere. Cost of the sponsorship is $2,500 per set; or
$5000 for all jerseys. This sponsorship is unique in that it last for
the complete life of the jersey, usually four years.

Similar to a schedule
card sponsorship, a poster sponsorship will ensure your company’s logo
and information is seen by the maximum number of people. With your
sponsorship of our annually released schedule posters, your logo will be
displayed prominently everywhere somebody hangs and Ice Vol schedule
poster. The past few seasons, our posters have featured The girls of
Alpha Delta Pi sorority, Phi Mu sorority, and Corrine
Paradise-Tennessee’s representative in Girls of the SEC

The biggest
bargain and value among our sponsorships is the schedule card sponsor.
Tennessee Hockey schedule cards are handed out to an extraordinary
number of Knoxville businesses and to ALL fans, as well as numerous
places around UT’s campus.
Game Program
Advertising
Printed ads placed in
our historic 40th Anniversary Edition Collectible Game Programs and
Media Guide will ensure your company’s name to be circulated to a large
number of fans and media. Inside, it contains schedules, stats, player
and coach bios, and a comprehensive team history. Programs will also be
sold prior to select home football games, and will be handed out at
various Knoxville businesses. Special promotions can be created using
your ad, and all advertisers receive in-game PA mentions.

with your company's name to the crowd every time they happen, every
