Dr. Skolits has served in higher education for over 20 years in the areas of strategic planning, academic administration, institutional research and assessment, and evaluation. In his current position as the director of IAE, Dr. Skolits manages assessment and evaluation projects for clients locally, statewide, regionally and nationally. Dr. Skolits is also lead faculty member for the Evaluation and Assessment Ph.D. program offered through the Educational Psychology and Counseling Department in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences.

Prior to working for IAE, Dr. Skolits held such positions as Asst. VP for Academics/Dean for Institutional Research/Effectiveness at Walters State Community College, worked in corporate finance for North American Philips, community/regional planning for the Tennessee Valley Authority, and worked in the County Manager's office for Miami-Dade County, Florida.

Dr. Boser has worked with IAE from its inception in 1994. She has been engaged in evaluation activities for over 20 years at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Boser's professional experience includes teaching in public K-12 school systems, serving as coordinator for the teacher preparation program for the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences, as well as serving as her evaluation work for the Institute.

Dr. Robinson has worked in various education capacities for over 20 years. Most recently, she held the position of Associate Professor of Education at Carson-Newman College. Dr. Robinson's professional experiences also include teaching at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville as well as the University of Florida, Gainesville. She has a strong educational background in mathematics and has worked as a consultant for local, state, and regional agencies regarding curriculum development and mapping in mathematics to meet state standards and for teacher licensure.

Dr. Morrow, an assistant professor for the Educational Psychology and Counseling Department teaches courses for the Ph.D. program in Evaluation and Assessment. Her teaching interests include: program evaluation, research methodology, and statistics.

Dr. Morrow's research is focused on three main areas: program evaluation, student development, and teaching research methods and statistics. She has conducted program evaluations on K-12 and higher education, health promotion, and community-based programs. Dr. Morrow's work win student development includes: investigation of students' send of belonging, substance misuse, and college persistent work. She has conducted research concerning the effectiveness of utilizing peer mentors, web-enhanced pedagogies, and collaborative pedagogies in statistics and research methods courses.

  • Awarded over $450,000 in external funding over the past six years from local and federal agencies including the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of education.
  • Published 10 articles in peer reviewed journals and has written over 25 technical reports

Over the past 20 years, Dr. French has worked with more than 350 school systems, higher education institutions and state and regional educational agencies encompassing 25 states, as well as several national organizations and agencies. In recent years, he has assisted a number of teacher preparation institutions in designing comprehensive assessment programs inorder to meet NCATE and/or stae accreditation standards. Dr. French is a consultant for the SREB and has been a member of the National Advisory Panel that assisted Western Oregon University in its development and research of Teacher Work Sampling Methdology and has employed TWSM in the design of both pre-service and in-service teacher assessment programs in the south. His work on various project have impacted both state and national education systems.
