Green “T” is a student organization at the University of Tennessee that provides professional, social, and educational activities for students in the Green Industry and other disciplines. The club participates in competitions, community service projects, campus improvements, and has a role in the development of future leaders in the workforce.
The Green T was formed by students wanting to make a difference with four primary goals:
- To help our members gain a competitive advantage in the Green Industry.
- To be known throughout the The University of Tennessee in a positive manner.
- To obtain a alumni following and a great industry relationship.
- To complete community service projects that help out the University, our community, and the less fortunate.
We have an extensive alumni database that will aid our members that wish to receive jobs or internships. They also give monetary support to our group and offer their expertise of the industry to our members. We have completed many community service projects including a design for the Enabling Garden in the UT Gardens, Invasive Plant removal at Ijams Nature Center, Aiding in a Native Plant Restoration in Tanasi Lagoon, and numerous others.
