Oral Presentation
Deliver to the class a 15-20 minute oral presentation based on your research project or on any topic appropriate to business, industry, government, or a profession. Be prepared to field questions from your audience for 3-5 minutes of this time. Prepare a PAW (Presentation Analysis Worksheet) for distribution to the entire class; we will read it before you begin. Provide a thorough analysis of your audience in your PAW just as you would in a DAW. Don’t simply tell us that we are a 360 class and leave it at that; I would consider this a serious flaw in your PAW. You may want to interview some of your classmates to get a sense of the makeup of the class before putting your presentation together.
Most people will choose to speak on a topic related to their reports (final papers in progress), or even to offer a streamlined presentation that covers their entire report.
Your presentation will be evaluated in two major categories, as shown below on the Critique Sheet for Oral Presentations:
1. Effectiveness of Content, Organization, Visuals, & Style for Purpose & Audience.
2. Effectiveness of Delivery.
