Advocacy Committee - September 21st, 2007

Shanty Town will start at 9pm on Wednesday, September 26th in Presidential Courtyard. For a $5 donation you can receive your very own box and spend the night with us discovering what is like to be homeless for a night.

Missions - September 21st, 2007

For those of you that are interested in Collegiate Challenge, we will be having two trips. One will be during the week of Spring Break and the other will be sometime during Mini-term this summer.

Collegiate Challenge trips are a week long trip (Sunday through Saturday) to somewhere in the continental United States. The cost is $150 for the week and includes a building donation, insurance (required by Habitat), a place to sleep, and a t-shirt. This cost does not cover meals, however, the fund raising that we do through the club will go toward paying the cost of breakfasts and lunches. You will only be responsible for paying for dinners and any extra expenses that you personally have (ie. spending cash, extra meals, R&R activities, etc).

There are only 10 spots open for these trips and is on a first come first served basis. This means that the first 10 to pay their $150 will be going.

I hope everyone decides to participate in this wonderful opportunity to do something worth-while during your break.

Advocacy Committee - September 19th, 2007

Due to a last minute complication Shanty Town will not happen tonight. We are going to reschedule it for either next week or sometime next month. We will let you know as soon as it is rescheduled. Thank you.
