A lesson could consist of:
An introduction to the topic, placing it in context of the course
Objectives
Knowledge - the facts and concepts to be learned, in essay format
Resources - support the knowledge
Activities - apply the knowledge, skills, values
For example: create the outline of a presentation on copyright to a specfic group; find a digital library in a subject of your interest and report to the class how it fits or does not fit the ARL definition of a digital library;
Quizzes - test the knowledge, skills, values
