On average, over the period of the study, full-time faculty at all ranks make up 79% of the membership, the remaining 21% being part-time ranked faculty and adjuncts, and other administrative personnel. 2000 comments: This represents a decline of 2% to 76%. This decline is from a loss of 3 full time faculty members, and an increase in the membership overall of 5. 1999 comments: The increase for this year is the result of real growth in faculty numbers, particularly at the Instructor levels (10), but more prominently because of the loss of At-large members (58). 1998 comments: The increase in proportion between 1997 and 1998 (from 68% to 74%) is more a matter of a decrease in population numbers (see Chart 2) and not a matter of substantial increase in full-time faculty numbers (see Chart 6. |
