This membership figure omits "At Large" and Summer Session faculty, and shows just faculty members and other personnel affiliated in some fashion with a school of LIS.

2000 comments: The total population figure dropped by 30 individuals (all individuals covered in this study). Considering just individuals associated with LIS schools, there are increases in part time faculty and non-members overall, which are balanced by losses in Administrative personnel (members as well as non-members), Associate Professors (non-members), Assistant Professors (members), Full Professors (members and non-members), and Visiting faculty (members and non-members). Specifics are provided in more detailed charts in this series.

1999 comments: Note the increase in the overall population, from 1642 of last year to 1799 for this year. The largest increase in sheer numbers was in part-time faculty, adding 123 individuals to the population.

1998 comments: Note the decline of 37 members (483 to 446) or 8%, and a decline in the total population (from 1727 to 1642) of 5%.
