2000 comments: We are now down to 16 librarians, from a height of 55 in 1986/87. The number of members has increased to three.

1999 comments: There was a decline in the population, from 28 to 20 individuals; the number of members remains the same, at two.

1998 comments: Seven percent of LIS librarians are members of ALISE in 1998; in 1992, 25% of them were, which represents their highest level of participation.

Note the decline of librarians from 55 in 1987 to 28 in 1998; this is still greater than the 1995 low of 19.

Librarian's membership declined by two members (to two), or 50%.
