2000 comments: The population served has risen to 13%, and, the population itself has risen by 2. This year there were seven fewer members in the population, however.

1999 comments: The proportion served has fallen to a new low of 9% yet the number in the Directory is at a new high.

1998 comments: Note that the proportion of Emerita/Emeritus category of faculty has been below its average since 1994. The current year's percentage of 18% is still higher that the lowest low of 14% in 1990.

We must note that in 1987 and 1988, there were fewer than 20 Emerita/Emeritus faculty listed in the directory, whereas in 1997 and 1998, there were over 130.
