These scholarships invite applicants from all across the United States (and sometimes the world). As a result, there is often more competition for these awards, but there are also more of them and the funding levels are often significantly higher. Application procedures and qualifications vary widely, so read carefully. The links below will take you to the web site of the organization offering the scholarship. Notes: The Freeman-ASIA Awards were designed to encourage more American undergraduate students to pursue study abroad in East and Southeast Asia. Priority given to applicants with no previous experience in Asia. Open to U.S. citizens, Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors. Program must be at least 8 weeks. Students must be able to demonstrate need. Submit application to the PAO.
