About Unterrichtspraxis: Editorial Focus


Die Unterrichtspraxis/Teaching German is a journal devoted to the improvement and expansion of German teaching in the United States. It is published twice yearly by the American Association of Teachers of German and is subsidized in part by a grant from Michigan State University. It has a circulation of approximately 5000.

UP provides a forum where

may be presented, elaborated, and discussed.

Die Unterrichtspraxis publishes pedagogical articles, reports, teaching tips, news, discussions, book reviews, software and video reviews, current advertisements and other material of interest to teachers of German at all levels of instruction. The languages of publication are German and English.

The incoming editor, Tom Lovik, welcomes manuscripts conforming to the Guidelines for Submission and inquiries regarding other possible contributions.

The associate editors for book reviews, Phillip J. Campana, and software and video reviews, Bernhard Martin, likewise welcome inquiries about contributions in their areas.

The AATG welcomes inquiries regarding advertisements, subscriptions to the journal, and membership in the Association.

Annual subscription to Die Unterrichtspraxis [ISSN: 0042-062X] is $35; outside the USA, add $5 for postage. Back issues $18 ea. plus $2.50 for shipping and handling.

AATG members receive a subscription to AATG Newsletter and either The German Quarterly or Die Unterrichtspraxis. Annual dues are graduated, depending upon members' yearly salaries.
