Obituary
The Department and the profession mourn the loss of Ron Walker who died after a long battle with cancer on October 6, 1995. Ron, who began his German studies at the University of Tennessee, was an Associate Professor of German at Colorado State University. The Colorado Congress of Foreign Language Teachers (CCFLT) has established the Ronald W. Walker Mini-grant Program in his memory, and his department is accepting contributions toward annual awards for graduate students in his honor, one for excellence in teaching, one for excellence in scholarship. It is hoped that they will be fully endowed and perpetual within the next several years.
