Microarray Technology and UTMD Application

Special Topic Fall 2007
The objective of this 3 hour credit graduate course is to provide students with basic knowledge of the variety of microarray technologies available and some of the analytical tools used to analyze the results. The course will initially have a lecture format to inform students, interspersed with invited speakers that have used and analyzed microarrays. The class will then switch its focus to online tools. Lastly, students will select a microarray dataset to analyze for themselves using the online tools. The students will present their findings at the end of the course.
