MY NOTES:

-Wow, a very interesting survey.  There's a lot of songs listed here that I have never
heard- #25, #36, #38, #41 (this version), #47, and #49.

-KISN is one of the few US stations that did play WISH YOU WERE HERE, BUDDY
by Pat Boone.  From what I understand, many station refused to play this because of
it's "pro-Vietnam War" lyrics.  After relistening to my 45 single, I must confess that I
could understand why some stations might have had a problem with this record (though,
the beat is rather catchy).  I guess this song is in the same league as THE BALLAD OF
THE GREEN BERET by SSgt Barry Sadler (except the latter was a monster selling
single and #1 in most US radio markets in spring 1966).

-I assume that song #36 (by Simon & Garfunkel) was actually an album cut.  KISN
did not list record catalogue numbers on their surveys and my reference books do
not show this as a commercial single on the Columbia label.  If anyone knows for
certain, please contact me.
