Sign Language and Deaf Studies
This seminar will introduce students to American Sign Language (ASL), which is widely used in the US, Canada, parts of the Caribbean, and US territories. Students will learn basic ASL vocabulary and grammar to communicate many concepts. Worldwide, there are many different sign languages—almost as many as there are different countries. We will also explore the international role of sign language, gesture, and non-verbal communication.
This seminar is tentatively scheduled to meet during Full Session on T from 5:05 pm - 6:20 pm.
Note: Please check the official timetable for the most up-to-date information about meeting times and locations and availability.
