Sustainable Transportation

Transportation is one of the largest energy consuming, greenhouse gas emitting sectors in the world and is growing in rapidly motorizing Asia. The debate is often muddled by terms like "Zero Emission Vehicle", "Smart Growth", “Energy Independence”, and others. This seminar focuses on defining and exploring sustainability in the context of transportation, with a strong focus on strategies that are being developed in the USA and Asia. We will discuss technological strategies as well as changes in activity patterns that could reduce transportation's environmental impact.

This seminar is tentatively scheduled to meet during Second Session on TR from 11:10 am - 12:00 pm.

Note: Please check the official timetable for the most up-to-date information about meeting times and locations and availability.
