Facebooking 129: Social Networking Sites

People of all ages are increasingly active in social networking sites - from tagging photos in Facebook to sharing music in Myspace to posting videos on Youtube. We will explore how social networking is impacting our notions of privacy, identity and relationships.

This seminar is tentatively scheduled to meet during First Session on TR from 3:40 pm - 4:55 pm.

About the professor

Trena Paulus
Dr. Paulus investigates the effectiveness online learning environments, such as how blogging can be used to improve student learning. She is particularly interested in how online spaces connect people from around the world. Dr. Paulus has taught English in Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer, conducted professional development workshops in Macedonia and Ecuador, and has visited all continents except for Antarctica.
