This semester, the Fly Fishing Club's main purpose has extended past promoting just fishing with a fly rod. As presidents, Mike and I want to bring about a new direction for the entire club, which means the club will be as proactive as possible. Essentially, Mike and I want all the members to communicate and meet up socially as a group. Every Wednesday we meet up at various places to just hang out with one another and lie about all the fish we never caught. Also, we want to promote conservation and enviromental awarness to help keep our rivers clean and our trout healthy. Club events include free casting lessons by either members of the club or local guides. We also have fly tying classes that regularly meet at the Outdoor Center. These tying classes can benefit both beginners and experts by going over various flys. Finally, the club meets weekly for a little fishin on some of the local rivers and hopefully we will be taking a large trip sometime in the semester. Mike and I send out several emails each week to keep everyone up to date.

Sincerely,

Trip Voss - President
