Visiting Assistant Professor or Lecturer in Rhetoric and Composition

The Rhetoric/Writing/Linguistics Division of the University of Tennessee English Department invites applications for a one-year replacement position to begin August 2007. Candidates having the PhD in Rhetoric and Composition in hand by August are preferred, but ABDs with teaching experience in the field will also be considered. The course load is 3/3 and the salary $35,000, plus health and retirement benefits and a generous travel allowance. Teaching includes a variety of undergraduate courses (public writing, rhetoric and writing, persuasive writing, topics in rhetoric) and the possibility of an appropriate graduate course.
