Students
Recent students have joined us from the writing programs at Arkansas, UC-Davis, Colorado, Johns Hopkins, Penn State, and Stanford, as well as from the ranks of our own undergraduate and MA writing programs. While in the program students have published in top-shelf journals and magazines--Atlantic Monthly, Nimrod, North American Review, One Story, Southern Poetry Review, and Spoon River Poetry Anthology, to name a few.
They’ve won fellowships to prestigious writing colonies and numerous national prizes, including the New Millennium Writings Award for Poetry, the James Wright Poetry Prize, and the Missouri Review Editors Prize for Fiction, and they’ve been selected for inclusion in anthologies like Best American Short Stories and Best New American Voices.
