Art Smith selected for induction into the East Tennessee Writers Hall of Fame
Art Smith, poet and teacher of poetry in the department, has been selected for induction into the East Tennessee Writers Hall of Fame. He is being honored this October for his poetry. Three others are being inducted this year, including our English Department Emeritus Professor, Jon Manchip White, who is receiving a Lifetime Achievement. Art’s poem “Paradise,” which appeared in Georgia Review, was featured this summer in Poetry Daily. Congratulations to both Art and John for these recognitions!
