SECTION D: WHAT MATERIALS THE PROGRAM APPLIES TO

The program applies to contact with blood and other potentially infectious materials including semen, vaginal secretions, cerebrospinal fluid, synovial fluid, pleural fluid, pericardial fluid, peritoneal fluid, amniotic fluid, saliva in dental procedures and any other body fluid visibly contaminated with blood.

The program does not apply to feces, nasal secretions, sputum, sweat, tears, urine, vomitus or saliva unless they contain visible blood.
