Amy L. Skinner, Ph.D.

Amy Skinner, Associate Professor in Rehabilitation Counseling began her appointment as Director of the Center on Disability and Employment in January 2007. She has been faculty at the University of Tennessee since January 2000 and served as coordinator of the Rehabilitation Counseling MS Degree Program for six years. In addition, Dr. Skinner serves as a part-time training coordinator for the Southeast RCEP. Dr. Skinner received both her PhD (1999) in Counselor Education and her MS (1994) in Rehabilitation Counseling from Mississippi State University. She earned a BA (1991) in psychology and public relations from the Unviersity of Alabama. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), a Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health Service Provider (LPC - State of Tennessee), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
