Allison Anders, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor
Allison Daniel Anders, Ph.D. (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) teaches graduate courses in cultural studies, sociology of education, and qualitative research, including service learning and academic outreach courses in social justice and education. Dr. Anders situates her research in education in social and political theory, social justice and human rights, narrative theory and postcritical ethnography, and feminist epistemologies, pedagogies, and methodologies. Her current research involves the collection of educational narratives from incarcerated youth and the collection of resettlement narratives from refugee families and children. She is an active member of the American Educational Research Association and the American Educational Studies Association and presents papers regularly at their annual conferences.
