Jeannine Studer, Ed.D.
Associate Professor/School Counseling Program Coordinator
Jeannine is affiliated with the School Counseling program. She teaches 555 Practicum in School Counseling, 550 Foundations in School Counseling, and 561 Organization and Management of a School Counseling Program. Her research includes a number of issues related to school counseling from youth in crisis, to supervision, to issues surrounding students with special needs. She is currently on the editorial board for the Professional School Counselor journal and is the author of a text entitled: The Professional School Counselor: An Advocate for Students which will be published by Wadsworth. She is also the author of the book Supervising the School Counselor Trainee: Guidelines for Practice, published by the American Counseling Association.
Jeannine is the past-president of the Ohio School Counselor
Association and was the 2006-07 president of the Association of Tennessee Counselor Educators and Supervisors. She is a regular presenter
at national and state conferences on issues regarding youth
and school counseling, taught in Sapporo, Japan, and was honored
as a Distinguished Teaching Award for Faculty from Heidelberg
College. Jeannine’s interests include her family, fitness,
reading, and travel.
