William A. Poppen, Ph.D.

William A. Poppen, Ph. D. has a rich background of experience in working with youth as a parent, educator, counselor, and researcher. He has taught at The University of Tennessee since 1968 and has ten years of public school experience as a teacher, counselor and researcher in Ohio, Minnesota, and South Dakota. His teaching focus has been on group counseling and interpersonal relationships. He is married to Yvonne, a fourth grade school teacher, and is the father of four children. Dr. Poppen’s most recent work has been in promoting self-help support groups and teamwork in task groups. Dr. Poppen also maintains a www site at enjoyingwork.com
