Jack Cassell, Ph.D.
Research Professor
Retired as of June 30, 2005, Dr. Cassell took a B.A. at Berea College and an M.A. from the University of Kentucky. His Ph.D. in psychology is from the University of Kansas. Following the M.A., for a period of time, he was a rehabilitation counselor. Dr. Cassell’s teaching and research interests are in Ethics, Caseload Management, Internet Skills for Practitioners, Interpersonal Skills, and Deafness. He has co-authored a book, published chapters in books, and written articles in professional journals. His personal interests include making and playing the Appalachian Dulcimer, writing fiction, working with stain glass, and golf. One of his favorite quotes is adapted from Kemmons Wilson: There are two ways to get to the top of an oak tree. Get an acorn, sit on it and wait . . . or climb to the top.
