Art Source 2009
Every day, Knox County art teachers devote their time and energy to cultivating creativity in their students. The Knox County Art Educators’ Exhibition gives these teachers an opportunity to nourish and showcase their own artistic talents. In addition, an awards ceremony will reward the top three exhibitors.
The Knox County Art Educators’ Exhibition began as a testament to the talent of dedicated art teachers. For more than a decade this show has provided opportunities for teachers to work as professional artists; furthermore the exhibit has impacted students and school communities and increased awareness of the importance of art education for Knox County.
Teaching itself is an art; teaching the discipline called art is to reach into the imagination and intellect of students as well as enrich and strengthen the teachers’ artistic journey.
The intention of the Knox County Art Educators’ Exhibition is to provide the visual evidence of such.
