Course requirements:

 

1. Students without prior training in Excel, SPSS and PowerPoint will be responsible for learning these program applications through training courses offered by the University.  The training schedule for this semester is found at http://web.utk.edu/~training.  It is your responsibility to register and attend the classes that best fit into your schedule and existing level of proficiency.  Sign up for these courses as soon as possible, they fill up quickly! 

2. Attendance at the Excel and SPSS workshop sessions conducted by David Houston.

3. Develop ability to complete basic tasks in Excel, SPSS and PowerPoint. (List of tasks.)

4. Successful completion of the computer proficiency exam (for Excel and SPSS) and successful creation of an approved PowerPoint presentation.  Notify David Houston at least 5 days prior to the exam that you wish to take

 

Technology Training by DII staff (recommended sessions):

· Excel: at least Level 1 and Level 2 courses.

· SPSS: at least the “Introduction to SPSS” and “Statistical Computing with SPSS classes.

· PowerPoint: at least the Level 1, 2 and 3 classes.
